About Us

Savvy Structures Inc was founded in 2007 as a result of founder Dr. Lisa Wipplinger’s desire to provide innovative, people-focused, soulful, sustainable building design and education to architects, developers, communities and visionaries using a collaborative holistic approach. In 2010 all structural engineering consulting work was moved to our sister company Savvy Structures Engineering PC. Both companies is built on the cornerstones of innovation, excellence, integrity and sustainability.

Savvy Structures Inc is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York State and is the NY Upstate Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council .

Savvy Structures approaches eduction and research using an inclusive, collaborative approach. We specialize in bridging the gaps between architecture and engineering, science and art, theory and practice, and spirit and use. We can help you take your vision to new heights and then bring it into reality.

Dr. Lisa Wipplinger, PE, SE, LEED AP

Dr. Lisa Wipplinger has over 20 years of experience in structural engineering and is a licensed professional and licensed structural engineer, and a USGS LEED Accredited Professional. Her experience through structural consulting and university-level teaching includes management in varied contexts, presenting technical ideas to audiences of varying knowledge levels, writing reports and proposals, technical research, and structural design on numerous projects ranging from single family to high-rise. Her design experiences encompass projects of all sizes in various locations in the United States, Middle East, and Asia. Dr. Wipplinger is also an ordained interfaith minister and energy coach/healer.
